Virali completed her undergraduate education at the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, minoring in Chemistry & French.

During her time at Pitt, she conducted basic science research in the laboratory Dr. Quasar Padiath, MBBS, PhD, which allowed her to generate data for an honors thesis characterizing the effects of TUBB4A mutations on the nervous system by studying transgenic mice. Virali now leads an international natural history project on Hypomyelination and Atrophy of the Basal Ganglia and Cerebellum (H-ABC).

Virali is the real MVP, and we are lucky to have her.
